The Gartden LLC
Our business is a storefront that allows for space for friends and family to come together and create, not only art, but memories. The Gartden is an earthy, comforting setting. You as our customer will feel relaxed in the space ready to tackle any artistic venture; utilizing the many tools and equipment we have readily available to you. The Gartden is an art cafe that provides a space for you to enjoy an activity from a menu of different art mediums to try out. We are based in the California Bay Area.

Our target market are friends and family looking for activities to do with their friends, companies or organizations looking for ways to have community building events for their employees, schools looking for activities or extracurriculars for their students, creative individuals looking for a place to explore new interests. Our audience wants an affordable option to hang out with their hobbies and friends.
Andrea Pilapil
Owner/Manager
Andrea Pilapil, Owner/Manager, has a background in Social Work, Education, and is a connoisseur of the arts. Andrea is a First Generation Filipinx-American born in San Francisco, California. She enjoys community and experiencing new activities with her peers and strangers alike. She has always been drawn to the arts and appreciates arts from different cultures and mediums. These hobbies have influenced her to own a space where she can help build communities and bring out everyone’s artistic ability.
Francis D. Garcia
Product Manager
Francis Garcia was born and raised here in the Bay Area. He is a First-Generation Filipinx-American from Daly City, California. In 2018, Francis graduated with a Bachelor’s in Cinema at SF State. He has always been passionate for the many forms of visual arts. Francis is a Baybayin artist, 2024 Balay Kreative Artist, and an avid practitioner of Filipino Martial Arts.
His goal as a Filipino American Artist in the Bay Area is to help educate and bring awareness to the numerous cultural practices of the Philippines through his art and media. Francis is the creator of "Sakura Playing Cards" and "Baybayin Flash Cards." With Baybayin Flash Cards and his art, he aims to educate the Filipinx community and diaspora based on Philippine culture and identity.
Arlene Oriel
Marketing Manager
Arlene is a first-generation Filipino-American. Hailing from the town of Villasis in the province of Pangasinan, her family immigrated to the United States when she was just three years old.
She holds an Associate Degree in Psychology from Foothill College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations at San José State University. She is the first in her family to pursue a degree at the university level in the United States.
Aside from her studies, she holds a part-time job in the Bakery Department at a grocery store. Day in and day out, she is responsible for a variety of tasks such as customer service, merchandising, packaging products, and decorating desserts. Each day is different and brings its own set of challenges, but she comes into work ready to tackle whatever the workday may bring her.
As Marketing Manager of The Gartden, she aims to use her customer service and Psychology backgrounds to help The Gartden team figure out what their customers’ needs are, and how to best meet those needs with their products and services offered.
