The beauty of art is that art is limitless. I enjoy many forms of art, such as music, painting, dance, martial arts and more! Art connects us to our childhood, sparks our imagination and most of all, allows us to express ourselves. My first experiences with art was drawing characters and emotions. I recall always drawing in my youth. Later, I found martial arts and was able to find self-expression through another way. Today, I still do many forms of arts, like Filipino Martial arts. Additionally, I found Baybayin to be a great way to express my art and appreciation for the culture native to the Philippines.
I created Narra Media, which has been a showcase of my arts and hobbies over the years. With Narra Media, I aim to educate, inspire and create a collective of different artforms that pay homage to its origins through spirituality and visual artistry in modern day. Recently, I created Baybayin Flash Cards with The Gartden LLC team. These cards are a way to connect with our Filipino culture, identity and history. For those who may not know, Baybayin is one of the indigenous writing systems of the Philippines that is no longer practiced in modern times, education and everyday life. I aim to bring awareness of Baybayin as it represents resistance against colonial powers, cultural wealth, and breaking generational traumas. If you would like to help support, share our project with your loved one or family members. Baybayin Flash Cards is just the start. Let’s spread Philippine culture, such as Baybayin, to the world! Maraming salamat.
